Tools and Resources Needed
Expectations
- Casual drivers are a vital part of our team. And what makes the flexibility of a casual role work really well is great, proactive communication.
- Communicating your availability clearly and frequently helps us greatly to allocate work fairly and consistently.
- If you have appointments, communicating them to your supervisor directly as well can help minimise lost hours.
- Mark school holidays as unavailable if not planning to work.
Casual Drivers with Regular School Runs
- Consistency is what helps best maintain our standard of service on school runs.
- If you’ve taken on a regular school run, we trust you to be available for it each school day.
- Of course life intervenes sometimes, and we get that. Please communicate your needs as early as possible.
- If availability becomes difficult, we’ll work with you – but we might need to reassign the run to keep things consistent for students and families.
Procedure
- Please enter availability through the CMS Kiosk in operations.
- In addition, please communicate temporary changes to your availability (such as an appointment) directly to your supervisor as well.
- Submitting any changes as soon as you know about them helps operations tremendously!
- Operations are happy to take you through the CMS availability process if you’re unsure.
