Tools and Resources Needed

Training tablet

Before you start, read through this entire procedure.

There’s two parts to this module:

  1. The goal of part 1 is to get familiar with several types of vehicles through hands-on interaction.
  2. The goal of part 2 is to continue using the Driver Resource Hub to learn Panorama’s procedures by actually doing the procedures.

These exercises can be completed in pairs or independently.

Part 1: Scavenger Hunt Items

Using the resources you have at hand and your own exploration instincts, locate these items on all the buses allocated by your facilitator.

Isolator switches
Door mechanism and how operate it
Adjust the drivers seat
Start the vehicle
Set the Destination Display Board
Test out the air conditioning controls
Fire extinguishers, review instructions

Self-Guided SOP Exploration

Follow the steps in the Driver Resource Hub to “complete” the following procedures.

Be hands-on. Actually interact with and use the equipment and resources wherever possible. You may need to acquire items to complete some procedures.

You may be instructed to reference other procedures – they’re in the DRH.

Problem solve as much as you are able, but don’t spin your wheels if you’re stuck – ask your facilitator to guide you.
