Panorama buses have different door release mechanisms, and the locations of these controls also vary.
This document helps you locate the door controls and explains how to operate them. Some models have both normal and emergency door openers, and some might call the normal control an emergency door opener (as you need to use the same method in an emergency).
Mechanism Locations and Types
How to Open the Front Door
Type 1
Models:
Scania Touring
Scania A30 (newer models)
This type is a pressurised door, with two operating modes – one for standard opening and one for emergency opening
Unlocking the Door (if locked)
Pull the key cover to either side.
Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise (right).
Rotate the handle 90° clockwise (right).
Standard Opening (pressurised)
Push the small buttons in the recess to open/close the door.
Emergency Opening
Press the red release button. The spring-loaded door pops open.
Rotate the red knob 180° clockwise (right). You will hear the air pressure escaping, and the door drops.
Pull the door outwards and then push it to the right until fully open.
(With the air pressure gone, the door has to be opened manually.)
Type 2
Model:
Scania A30 (older models)
Unlocking the Door (if locked)
Pull the key cover to either side.
Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise (right).
Rotate the handle 90° clockwise (right).
Opening the Door
Use the key fob remote control on the keyring.
Slide the top of the key fob open.
Press the Open button.
Type 3
Models:
Irizar bodies
Unlocking the Door (if locked)
Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise (right).
Rotate the handle 90° clockwise (right).
Opening the Door
Press the Emergency Exit Door Release button in the A-pillar.
(Press again to close the door.)
Type 4
Models:
Most Volgren bodies
Unlocking the Door (if locked)
Locate the keyhole in the bottom left corner of the front door.
Insert the key and rotate it clockwise until it stops.
Opening the Door
Locate the Emergency Exit sticker on the front bumper. There are separate open and close buttons under the bumper here.
Locate the buttons with your fingers; one opens the door, and the other closes it.
Type 5
Model:
Bonluck President 2
Unlocking the Door (if locked)
Pull the key cover to either side.
Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise (right).
Rotate the handle 90° clockwise (right).
Standard Opening (Pressurised)
Push the small buttons in the recess to open/close the door.
Emergency Opening
The emergency opening lever is under the front bumper, below the sticker.
Locate the lever with your fingers and turn it 90° to the vertical position. You will hear the air pressure escaping, and the door drops.
Pull the door outwards and then push it to the right until fully open.
(With the air pressure gone, the door has to be opened manually .)
